I just got this today and I would share my impressions. First of all, it came FAST. I ordered on Saturday (holiday weekend) and it came USPS Tuesday afternoon.

The iPad 2 is a tad loose in the holder and a flap comes over the top to hold it in. It doesn’t seem like it would be that secure but I’ve held it upside down and shaken it a little and the iPad stayed put, so I guess it will be o.k. All of the switches and connectors are exposed correctly (including the rear camera) but the speaker is partially covered. Surprisingly, the sound is still acceptable.

The keyboard is the usual bluetooth keyboard with rubbery keys with an acceptable amount of feel. Not too bad, all things considered. After all, I’m not going to write a novel on this thing. Function keys along the top allow you to change the brightness, volume, and provide media controls. Another button acts like the “Home” switch on the iPad; another opens and closes the on-screen keyboard. The keyboard has all of the usual keys which function as expected (although there is no right-side shift key; this didn’t bother me but I know some users find the lack of a right-hand shift key annoying). To give you an idea of the size of the keyboard: the letter keys are about 1/2″ square and the entire keyboard is about 9″ x 4″.

Connecting via bluetooth is fairly easy; turn on the bluetooth radio on the iPad, and then a message box opens up with a four-digit code to type on the keyboard. After that the iPad generally had no problem finding the keyboard to connect (it takes a few seconds). The switch to turn the keyboard on and off is extremely small, and if you don’t have fingernails you may need to use a pen or metal stylus to switch it. I experimented letting the iPad go to sleep, turning off the keyboard, and waiting a while, then turning everything back on. The iPad “remembered” the keyboard and reconnected in a few seconds. Incidentally, hitting a key will “wake” the iPad.

There are a couple of issues that will require some extended usage before I know how to evaluate them. I’m concerned about wear on the flaps being constantly folded back and forth. Right now what I’m guessing is polyurethane “leather” looks fine but I don’t know how well it will wear over time.

Assuming reasonable durability this case/keyboard is a great value. I plan to use this case primarily in situations where I know that I will need to do a lot of typing; most of the time my iPad will be wearing the case. It is really good one. I was a little hesitant to get a keyboard case in the beginning as I thought it would defeat the very own purpose of iPad which is the touch screen functionality but over the time, as I used my iPad more often I got convinced that I needed the keyboard. My cousin came over and had this case with his iPad and I really liked it so I got one. It’s very slim and good looking. I like the very tiny rubber stoppers that this case has at the bottom which make it easier to put on a surface. I have noticed that other keyboard cases don’t have this. Nice addition. Typing with this keyboard is very easy. I use wireless keyboard case at home with my Mac and the layout is very similar so I didn’t even have to get used to it. I would definitely recommend this case and the brand if you’re in the market for a great Bluetooth keyboard case.

It is a great keyboard. Very long battery life, lightweight, great fit, apple-like keycaps; hot keys for shortcuts add a great value to this case at the given price. It’s much cheaper and much better than $90-$100+ keyboard cases in the market that I’ve tried.

This is a solid keyboard case that fits the iPad perfectly. Its slim profile looks really nice and attractive. Bluetooth connection was a breeze. I just had to connect it once and now all I need to do is switch the on/off button on my keyboard case when I want connection. The keycaps are hard plastic, not soft rubber with cheap feel. It is the same as the Apple keyboard. I love this case.

I researched for weeks to find the best iPad 2 case and after countless hours reading reviews and looking up manufacturers, I finally came upon this” Special High Quality Leather Protection Case For iPad 2″.

I couldn’t decide, since very few or no reviews were available for most of the newly released products and most of them were on pre-order. This one looked nice, had good features and was reasonably priced. Also, checked the case on the website for details about their other products, and found they have variety of products, which looked good.

I am using it for about 2 weeks now, and found it to be very useful. The iPad 2 case took off once you close the cover and turns on when you open the cover, similar to the Apple cover. There is some arrangement on the inside of the top cover to keep papers and credit cards, which is nice. The stand can be put in different positions (about 28). When the stand is not in use it sticks to the cover base via magnets.

Overall a very nice product at a decent price.

In the ideal world, there would be a case that would combine the best of both features- more color options, a magnetic closing strap and magnetic closing stand, but using Velcro for the stand positioning feature (and if it were a truly perfect world, also still incorporating the car strap feature). I own both, and to be honest you can’t go wrong with the case!

Really high quality case. Doubles for fun and professional use. All the best features. The back clip is a little clunky as you break it in, but gets much easier (and necessary to have clip in back for design). Worth every penny listing price. I am going to buy a new one on www.trait-tech.com again to my friend as a gift for Christmas.
