The big refrigerator makes a lot of stuff cool. For the people who spend any time sitting in front of the computer, or the person who just wants one can at his desk to be cool, the USB powered mini fridge probably attracts them more.
We can keep a cool beverage ready to drink at all times with this USB mini fridge. Plug in this small single-can beverage cooler into a USB port and chill a can on our desk. And then we do not have to get up to get our drink when we are working in front of the computer or far away from our big refrigerator.
Its built in cooling plate quickly drops its lowest operating temperature within five minutes after being plugged in. The USB mini fridge can be used in our cubicle, home office, bedroom or garage. Not only it can keep hot drinks chilled, but also it does the same thing in reverse for chilled drinks. Pressed the button to I, the blue lights inside will be bright, it will make hot drinks become cooler. Pressed the button to II, the red lights inside will be bright, it will get chilled drinks become warmer.
I got one from Trait Tech and it is very cute. My coworkers all have a good laugh over it. It works pretty much as advised if I connect it into the computer USB port. But if I connect it to a USB hub, it barely gets cold. It says it may not run correctly on a hub on the package. I think it has something to do with the fact that hubs only provide 100 milli watts per USB connection but computer USB connections are supposed to provide 500 milli watts. I still hope it will also work from a hub.
